		<description>I don&#039;t know if I&#039;ve ever lusted for a computer the way I lusted for the BeBox. What a brilliant little piece of hardware it was. And, not a bad OS sitting on top of it, either. Too bad it never took off. My only real beef about the BeOS was that it was single-user.



I also remember that EVERYONE was convinced Apple would buy Be and use the BeOS as the core of the modern Mac OS. Of course, they opted for NeXt, instead, and many people weren&#039;t happy. I think we can all see now they made the right choice.</description>

Ofcourse they can&#039;t be that old, seeing as how I only broke out of my teens last year, but back in the day when I went to every Macworld expo on the East coast, I remember when they first introduced the BeOS&#160;&#8212;&#160;I still have the original Developer Release CD hidden somewhere in my house!
