Just for the record, I’m still alive, and this blog is too (notice how I clev­erly avoided the oft-used Mark Twain ref­er­ence regard­ing rumors of my demise…) — In addi­tion to my pre­oc­cu­pa­tion with the to-do in the Mid­dle East, I’ve actu­ally been quite busy with work, of all things.

A big pre­sen­ta­tion, a head cold, a quar­tet show, and var­i­ous other dis­trac­tions have slowed my pace a lit­tle when it comes to things I do in my free time (which, cur­rently, this site is cat­e­go­rized under).

I’m still hard at work on the redesign, which is actu­ally almost com­plete, except for a few lit­tle browser bugs with my CSS (stan­dards my arse, but that’s another entry for another day; to para­phrase the script of Pulp Fic­tion: “I’m gonna go Mark Pil­grim on yo’ ass!”), so expect to see the begin­nings of phase two of SB in the not-so-distant future.
